The finest figs, harvested from orchards at the perfect ripeness, are cooked with the sole addition of cane sugar.
The "open-air" processing method is the classic technique used since ancient times for fruit preservation. After being carefully cleaned and washed, the fruit is simply cooked in a pot with the exclusive addition of cane sugar.
The result is a product that enhances the flavor of the used fruit, with artisanal characteristics that only our mothers can match.
For the production of 100 grams of compote, 155 grams of succulent figs are used.
It pairs excellently when spread on freshly toasted bread, "whitened" with alpine butter. This provides a rich and healthy breakfast or a refined snack!
It pairs exceptionally well with cheeses!
It is recommended to pair it with blue cheeses and aged, spicy pecorino.
