MONTEPULCIANO COCCIAPAZZA
Discover a biodynamic-like organic wine that stands out from the others with its woody character. The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Cocciapazza from Torre dei Beati is a true gem with an elegant structure, although it does not belong to a prestigious appellation. The attention given to the vines throughout the year is exceptional, but it is during the harvest that the winemaker demonstrates unparalleled meticulousness: three successive manual harvests selecting only perfectly ripe grapes, delicate handling to avoid any damage, and meticulous sorting to retain only the highest quality grapes. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with extended maceration on the skins. The wine then matures for over twenty months in predominantly new barrels before being bottled.
With an intense and concentrated ruby red color, this Montepulciano reveals characteristic aromas of red fruits, subtly balanced by notes of black pepper, licorice, chocolate, and tobacco. On the palate, it stands out with its ample structure, smooth tannins, and a persistent and pleasing finish. Although it is not certified biodynamic, this wine is cultivated organically with special attention to the vines and organic amendments. It pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, slow-cooked dishes, or game.
