(0 review)

Discover the Istrico from Villa Patrizia, a wine that perfectly embodies the exceptional terroir of the region. Its vineyards, located at an altitude of 350 to 380 meters, benefit from an ideal southwest exposure in the surrounding hills. The clayey soils rich in limestone, composed of galestro and alberese rocks, give the wine a unique structure.

The vinification of Istrico is carried out with care, using indigenous yeasts for spontaneous fermentation. After a slow maceration of 10 days, the wine is aged for 12 months in large 500-liter oak barrels, followed by bottle refinement at Villa Patrizia for at least 4 months before being released to the market.

This wine reveals itself in an intense and brilliant ruby red color. On the nose, it exudes enchanting aromas of mint and red and black berries, such as blackberries, blueberries, and cherries, complemented by delicate notes of plums. On the palate, Istrico unveils the full complexity of its terroir, offering powerful tannins supported by a balanced acidity from the high-altitude vineyards. Its full body and pleasant roundness enchant the taste buds, leaving a persistent finish with captivating flavors of black cherries, plums, and blueberries.

Pair the Istrico from Villa Patrizia with flavorful dishes such as pasta generously topped with meat-based sauces, gnocchi al ragù, roasted meats, grilled poultry, or grilled meat dishes. It is also the ideal companion for hard cheeses. Let yourself be seduced by this gustatory experience that celebrates the tradition and winemaking passion of Villa Patrizia.
